COORDINATORS OF THE PROJECT:

COLUMBIA UNIVERSITY

FEDERICA FRANZÈ received her Laurea (Italian university degree) in Foreign Languages and Literatures from the University of Urbino, Italy. She has a Master in Italian literature and a PhD in German literature from Rutgers
University, where she has taught both languages. She is currently a Senior Lecturer in Italian at Columbia University.
Her research interests include transnational literature and cinema, pedagogy and language teaching through technology.

UNIVERSITY OF URBINO

GIOVANNA CARLONI is a lecturer in foreign language didactics at the
University of Urbino, Italy. She teaches both at undergraduate and
graduate levels. She is responsible for pre-service teachers’ practicum within the master’s degree program “Teaching Italian to  Foreigners” where she also teaches Language Teaching Methodology: Teaching Italian as a Second and Foreign Language. Her fields of  expertise are applied linguistics, corpus linguistics, English linguistics, teaching foreign languages through technologies,  e-learning, and teacher training.

COLUMBIA UNIVERSITY GRADUATE STUDENTS:

MASSIMILIANO DELFINO  is currently a PhD Candidate in Italian Studies at Columbia University and Senior Lead Teaching Fellow for Columbia’s Center for Teaching and Learning. He has taught Italian at the Elementary and Intermediate levels both at Columbia and at UNC-Chapel Hill.  His research interests include Italian experimental literature, and cinematic and literary representations of political violence.
